Dr. Sheri (Shahrzad) Salartash, DDS, FAGD, FICOI, FAAIP
Dr. Sheri (Shahrzad) Salartash is by all measures an exceptional Cosmetic and General Dentist. She is a highly trained, highly skilled doctor who brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice. She is very passionate about dentistry and knew by the age of 10, that dentistry is all she ever wanted to do. Dr. Sheri loves sharing her passion for dentistry with her staff and patients. Dr. Sheri focuses on comprehensive dentistry, aesthetics and orthodontics all with a holistic mindset.
Dr. Sheri has an abundance of experience at several cutting edge dental practices in Virginia, Washington D.C. and Iowa. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University and is honored to have been recognized as one of “America's Top Dentists” by Consumers' Research Council of America 2009 through 2017. Dr. Sheri is a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and a Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics. Some of her other professional membership affiliations are: American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM), American Academy of Facial Cosmetics.
Some highlights of her continuing education include the Spear Education Occlusal Studies program, Biohorizons Implants, Straight Wire Orthodontics, Orthodontics Appliance Therapy, ALF orthodontics, Trudenta or Dentomandibular Sensorimotor Dysfunction Therapy, Functional Cosmetics and Aesthetics, Lumineers, Conscious DOCS sedation, sleep apnea appliances and courses in holistic dentistry that concentrates on whole body health. Dr. Sheri and her husband, George, have a baby girl named Lilly. They enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities and are currently trying to be better golfers… and have a long way to go!

Dr. Salartash graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University of Dental Medicine and is a holistic and natural focused mouth doctor. She focuses on the dental contributions to medical symptoms and natural wellness. Dr. Sheri takes a comprehensive view of dentistry and spends a lot of her time on aesthetics and physiologic orthodontics for children and adults at Dental Excellence of Delray in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dr. Salartash seeks to help patients with not just dentistry, but healthy body lifestyles. She has studied ALF Orthodontics, Orthodontics Appliance Therapy, Trudenta or Dentomandibular Sensorimotor Dysfunction Therapy, Functional Cosmetics and Aesthetics, sleep apnea appliances and courses in holistic dentistry that concentrates on whole body health. Her office provides comprehensive dental care such as Alternative orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, soft tissue laser procedures, Gum recession treatment, implants, whitening and of course preventative care. Dental Excellence offers treatment for children as young as newborn that are tongue tied who may be experiencing problems feeding. Dr. Sheri notes that screenings for traditional and physiological orthodontics should start early, since between the ages of 2-6 years is a critical time for development. This time can have a huge effect on jaw development, alignment and airway management. For orthodontics, Dr. Sheri notes that the best results happen before the age of 12. Dr. Sheri believes strongly in patient education and insists her staff and patients work as a team to create a treatment plan.

Dr. J. Christopher Durr
Born to an Army family, Dr. Durr attended Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, moving on to The University of Virginia graduating with honors in Psychology. He received his DDS from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. After two years at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, Dr. Durr taught at Georgetown University and enjoyed a private practice in Fairfax City. Upon the closure of Georgetown's Dental school, he attended George Mason's School of Law, obtaining a JD.
Dr. Durr is well versed in the dental arts including Cosmetics, Sedation, Implants as well as Family Dentistry. He is a member of The American Dental Association (ADA), The Virginia Dental Association (VDA) and the American Society of Dental Anesthesia ADSA. He is licensed in Virginia and in The Netherlands. He maintains a busy continuing educating schedule, and serves as a consultant as a legal expert on certain dental issues.
Dr. Naghmeh Bahramian
Dr. Bahramian is a compassionate and caring doctor who strongly aims to provide the most modern and advanced dental care . She grew up in A tlanta , Georgi a where she attended University of Georgia. While completing her undergraduate biology d e gree, due to her passion for dentistry she dedicated her time to multiple dental community outreach activiti e s which included o verseas mission trips and local volunteering.
She obtained her doctor of dental medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Dental M edicine where she developed extensive training in the area of general dentistry. After dental school her desire for continued perfection lead her to participate in advanced dental education residency.
Dr. Bahramian and her husband recently moved to Virginia to establish their future life and family. During her free time she enjoys nature walks and playing tennis.
